Natalie DeRatt
Natalie DeRatt,
former member of the USA Bobsled+Skeleton Team is now sliding for her home country – Team Great Britain, competing as a brakemen for the women’s 2-man event. Based in Asheville, NC (in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains!), she spends half the year traveling from Lake Placid, NY, to Calgary, Canada, to Winterberg, Germany and beyond on the Bobsled World Cup Circuit. Natalie, along with pilot Jazmine Fenlator, earned a Silver Medal at the Lake Placid World Cup Race #1 and rounded out the season placing 3
rd in the overall World Cup Standings and placed 6
th in the world at World Championships.
Aside from sledding down the world’s fastest ice tracks, Natalie works for fellow outdoors company, Eagles Nest Outfitters, is married to a fabulous baseball player, and lives with the best St. Bernard around…Carmen. She ultimately hopes to compete in the 2018 Winter Olympics, but until then is enjoying life and all that comes with it (including toasty, warm, Point6 protected toes), to the fullest.
