Joe Grant

Joe Grant is an endurance athlete residing in Gold Hill, Colorado. 
He has been running ultras for close to a decade, competing around the world in places such as Colorado, the Alps, Mexico's Copper Canyon, Alaska and Japan. 
He has a diverse and extensive resume competing in trail and mountain running events such as the Hardrock Hundred, the UltraTrail du Mt Blanc, the Western States 100, the UltraTrail Mt. Fuji, the Tor des Géants (330kms in Italy), the Iditarod Trail Invitational (560kms in Alaska in winter), The Coastal Challenge (6 day race in Costa Rica) and many more. 

He derives his inspiration from exploring wild places under his own power. He is also a writer, photographer and coach. He writes a blog documenting his adventures on his site www.alpine-works.com, and is a monthly columnist for iRunFar.com.

This year Joe will be competing in a variety of endurance events, including the Grand Traverse ski race from Crested Butte to Aspen, Colorado, The Arizona Trail Race (a 750 mile self-supported mountain bike race across Arizona), the Mount Hiei 50k trail race in Japan, the Hardrock Hundred Endurance Run in Colorado and the Tour de 14ers (a solo, self-supported link up of all of Colorado's 14ers by bike and on foot).
